Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Cryptospecting

General Questions

What is Cryptospecting?

Cryptospecting is an independent platform that inspects smart contracts to compare what crypto projects claim versus what their code actually does. We provide transparent, unbiased analysis that cannot be influenced by payment.

How are you different from audit firms?

Traditional audits focus on security vulnerabilities. We focus on transparency - comparing marketing claims with actual code implementation. We also make all reports permanently public and cannot be paid for positive results.

Who can submit projects for inspection?

Anyone can submit any project - investors, developers, or community members. You don't need to be associated with the project to request an inspection.

Process & Timeline

How long does inspection take?

Free queue: 3-4 weeks average. Priority service: 48-72 hours guaranteed. Actual inspection time depends on contract complexity.

What blockchains do you support?

We support all EVM-compatible chains including Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and more. Contact us for non-EVM chains.

Can projects update after inspection?

Yes, but the original inspection remains public. Projects can request re-inspection of updated contracts, which creates a new report.

Pricing & Payment

Why do you charge for priority?

Priority fees support our operations and allow us to offer free community inspections. Payment only affects queue position, never inspection results.

Can projects pay to hide negative findings?

No. All findings are published publicly regardless of payment. Our entire business model depends on maintaining complete independence and transparency.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cryptocurrencies: ETH, USDT, USDC on multiple chains. Traditional: Credit/debit cards and wire transfers for enterprise clients.

Reports & Results

Are reports really permanent?

Yes. Once published, reports cannot be edited or removed by anyone, including us. This ensures complete transparency and accountability.

What does the verification badge mean?

Projects that pass inspection without critical issues receive a verification badge. The badge links to the permanent public report for transparency.

Can you guarantee finding all issues?

No inspection can guarantee 100% coverage. We use systematic methodology to identify common issues and discrepancies, but sophisticated exploits may exist.

Legal & Compliance

Is this financial advice?

No. Our reports are technical analyses of smart contract code. They should not be construed as investment advice. Always do your own research.

What if a project disputes findings?

Projects can submit clarifications which we'll review and append to reports if factually accurate. However, original findings remain visible.

Do you work with regulators?

We operate independently but comply with all applicable laws. We may share information with authorities if legally required.
