What are the key facts about HEX?

| Contract deployed | 2019-12-03 01:50:28 UTC, Ethereum block 9,041,184 | on-chain |
| Stake length | 1 to 5,555 days (about 15 years) | HEX.sol:711-714 |
| Inflation | 3.69 % per 364 days, compounded daily — booked as a daily payout pool for stakers, minted when each stake ends | HEX.sol:1226-1241, mint :1484 |

| Compiler | Solidity 0.5.13, optimizer on (200 runs) | verified source |
Day 0 began at midnight UTC on 3 December 2019, which was still the evening of 2 December in US time zones — that is why both dates appear in community material.
Who controls the HEX contract?
No one. A full-text search of the verified source finds no owner, admin, pause, blacklist, upgrade or self-destruct mechanism; the only “owner” hits are the standard ERC-20 allowance parameters. The economic parameters — minimum and maximum stake length, bonuses, penalty rules — are declared constant (HEX.sol:632-748), and the inflation rate is a literal number in the payout formula (:1241); neither can be changed after deployment. New HEX can only be created through nine _mint calls, each inside a public rule (stake end, penalties, the launch-year claims and lobbies); there is no free-standing mint function anyone could call.
What does a HEX “day” mean?
The contract counts days as (block.timestamp − LAUNCH_TIME) / 1 day (HEX.sol:979) — fixed UTC calendar days, the same for everyone. Stakes start on the next full day, so all stakes share one calendar.
Where can I read the numbers myself?
All state is public. The functions globalInfo(), dailyData(day), stakeCount(address) and stakeLists(address, index) work against the same address on both chains, using a PulseChain RPC for HEX on PulseChain and an Ethereum RPC for HEX(eth). The official staking interface is go.hex.com. For a step-by-step method, see Verify it on-chain.
