PulseChain

Short answer

PulseChain is a full-state fork of Ethereum that has run as its own Proof-of-Stake chain since May 2023. It kept a copy of every Ethereum balance, token and contract as of block 17,232,999, then continued with its own validators, 10-second blocks and chain ID 369.

What are PulseChain’s key numbers?

Item Value
Chain ID 369 (hex 0x171)
Native coin PLS
Fork point State copied from Ethereum up to block 17,232,999; block 17,233,000 is PulseChain’s first own block (2023-05-10 22:52:51 UTC)
Public mainnet release 2023-05-13 (go-pulse v2.2.0, “PulseChain Mainnet Launch!”)
Consensus Proof of Stake — Ethereum’s beacon-chain protocol with PulseChain constants and a validator reward burn
Slot (block) time 10 seconds (Ethereum: 12 seconds)
Stake per validator 32,000,000 PLS
Active protocol upgrades Ethereum’s forks up to Shanghai / Capella; Cancun and later are not activated
Execution clients go-pulse, erigon-pulse
Consensus clients lighthouse-pulse, prysm-pulse

All values come from the official client code (go-pulse commit a224d919, lighthouse-pulse commit e671e9db, prysm-pulse commit 992805a5) and were checked against the chain on 2026-10-17; the explorer reported an average block time of 10.5 seconds that day.

How do I add PulseChain to a wallet?

Field Value
Network name PulseChain
RPC URL https://rpc.pulsechain.com
Chain ID 369
Currency symbol PLS
Block explorer https://scan.pulsechain.com

These are the values published on pulsechain.com, which also offers a one-click “add network” button; the RPC and chain ID were tested on 2026-10-17. Copy them only from the official site or a page you trust — never from a direct message. A step-by-step walk-through is in Start here.

Where are the official tools?

Look-alike domains exist. The full whitelist of official domains and accounts is on Official links.

Where can I check these facts myself?

Every number on this section’s pages can be read from public endpoints without a wallet: the guide Verify it yourself shows the exact calls, and the timeline lists the dates with their sources.

Frequently asked questions

Is PulseChain the same network as Ethereum?

No. PulseChain shares Ethereum’s history up to block 17,232,999 and copied its state, but from block 17,233,000 on it is a separate ledger with its own validators, its own chain ID (369) and its own coin, PLS. A token copied at the fork is not backed by its Ethereum original — see system copies.

Do I need PLS to use PulseChain?

Yes. PLS is the native coin and pays the gas for every transaction on PulseChain — transfers, swaps and contract calls alike.
