What the contract can do
Verified, with no owner, admin, pause, blacklist, upgrade or self-destruct. The supply changes only by the rules in the code: daily inflation of 3.69 % per 364 days, paid to stakers, and penalties for ending stakes early or late.
The runtime bytecode on PulseChain is identical to Ethereum’s (same SHA-256 hash). How staking works is explained in HEX staking.
Who controls it
Nobody. Every rule is fixed in the code at deployment and cannot be changed. The Origin Address receives amounts defined in the code — for example half of every stake penalty — but has no special powers; see the Origin Address.
History
Created on Ethereum on 3 Dec 2019 at 01:50:28 UTC; HEX day 0 is 3 Dec 2019 00:00 UTC, which is still 2 December in US time zones. PulseChain copied the whole Ethereum state at its fork, so HEX on PulseChain started in May 2023 with every balance and stake that existed on Ethereum at that moment, and has been a separate ledger since.
Audits: CoinFabrik economics audit (October 2019) and security audit (December 2019, no critical or medium findings) — see HEX audits.
HEX(eth) moved to PulseChain over the official bridge is a different token again, at 0x57fde0a71132198BBeC939B98976993d8D89D225.
Liquidity on 2026-10-19: about $935,000 on PulseX (HEX/WPLS v2 about $315,000, v1 about $251,000). About 381,000 holders on PulseChain.
Risks
HEX and HEX(eth) are different assets with different prices, and a stake exists only on the chain where it was made — see HEX vs. HEX(eth). Ending a stake early, or more than 14 days late, costs a penalty set in the code.
Verdict
Passes all six trust criteria.
Where to use it
Interfaces that call these contracts, checked on 2026-10-19 — official ones first. A listing is not an endorsement: open apps from a bookmark, check the domain before you connect a wallet and read the risk line. Domains to avoid and what to do when an app is down: Interfaces.
-
go.hex.com
go.hex.com
OfficialPulseChainEthereum
Start and end HEX stakes, good accounting of finished stakes, exits from old lobby entries.
The same version also runs as an IPFS mirror and a self-host build.
Risk: The build contains a regional “unavailable” page. The IPFS mirror and the self-host build are the official alternative deliveries of the same version.
-
PulseX app
app.pulsex.com
Official PulseX appPulseChain
Swaps, PLS ↔ WPLS wrapping, liquidity on PulseX v1, v2 and the eDAI/eUSDC/eUSDT stable pool, INC farms (deposit, withdraw, harvest, emergency withdraw) and the buy-and-burn page.
The same version also runs as an IPFS mirror and a self-host build.
Risk: Copycat PLSX and INC tokens exist — add tokens to your wallet by address only. The burn page’s conversion can be triggered only by whitelisted callers.
-
Official PulseChain bridge
bridge.pulsechain.com
Official PulseChain appPulseChainEthereum
Moves tokens between Ethereum and PulseChain, including the claim step on Ethereum. Its contracts are the only ones that mint and redeem eDAI, eUSDC, eUSDT, eWETH and eWBTC.
The same version also runs as an IPFS mirror and a self-host build.
Risk: 0.30 % fee from PulseChain to Ethereum; admin keys and validators are explained on the bridge page. HEX(eth) bridged to PulseChain becomes a different token, “HEX from Ethereum”.
-
PulseScan — Read and Write contract
scan.pulsechain.com
Official PulseChain appPulseChain
Read contract, Write contract and Write proxy for every verified contract once you connect a wallet. It is the fallback when an app is down, and the only interface for some functions: the Maximus Mystery Box and escrow, MAXI’s own stake end, and the Hedron/Icosa liquidation auctions.
The same version also runs as an IPFS mirror and a self-host build.
Risk: Raw calls with no safety net: wrong units or a mistyped address cannot be undone. There is no Write tab for unverified contracts — eWBTC, “HEX from Ethereum”, the four Diamond Hands reward-distribution contracts and the ProveX escrow (verified on Sourcify only).
-
hedron.pro
hedron.pro
Official Hedron/Icosa appPulseChainEthereum
Create and end HEX stakes as HSIs (HEX Stake Instances) and turn them into NFTs, mint and claim HDRN, take and repay HDRN loans against HSIs.
Risk: Unmaintained since November 2022: the liquidation-auction list depends on a retired data service, the built-in Uniswap page no longer exists, and only browser wallets connect. It offers unlimited HEX approvals.
-
Icosa × Hedron app
app.icosa.pro
Official Hedron/Icosa appPulseChainEthereum
HEX staking (optionally as an HSI), HDRN minting, HDRN and ICSA staking, selling HSIs to Icosa and redeeming WAATSA NFTs.
Risk: The auctions page is effectively broken because its data source is down. It offers unlimited approvals and approval of all your NFTs to the ICSA contract — prefer approvals per transaction.
-
Etherscan — HEX(eth) Write contract
etherscan.io
Third partyEthereum
Every HEX(eth) function on Ethereum, called directly.
Open-source alternative: Ethereum Blockscout. The Maximus and Hedron/Icosa token contracts are verified on Etherscan too (the Diamond Hands reward-distribution contracts are not).
Risk: Amounts are in hearts (8 decimals); raw calls cannot be undone.
-
BackupHEX
backuphex.com
Third partyPulseChainEthereum
Start and end HEX stakes and good accounting.
Risk: Closed source, delivered in a deliberately unreadable form. No fee wrapper or proxy was found. Its PulseChain HEX price comes from the wrong (bridged) pair — a display error, not a funds risk.
-
appHEX
apphex.win
Third partyPulseChainEthereum
HEX stakes and transfers, HDRN minting, INC farm deposits and swaps through the PulseX contracts.
Risk: Closed source. Optional tips to the developer; a fee hook in the code is inactive today but could be switched on in a later release. It promotes the developer’s own wallet extension, which was not reviewed.
-
HEXmob (go.tshare.app)
go.tshare.app
Third partyPulseChainEthereum
Start and end HEX stakes — nothing else.
Source published at gruvin/hexmob.win; the deployed app matches it, the licence is unclear.
Risk: Low: it calls only the HEX staking functions.
-
Uniswap, CoW Swap and 1inch (Ethereum)
app.uniswap.org
Third partyEthereum
Trading HEX(eth) on Ethereum — not HEX-specific.
Risk: Ethereum only and not HEX-specific: check the HEX(eth) contract address before you trade.
-
Piteas
app.piteas.io
Third partyPulseChain
DEX aggregator: routes swaps through PulseX and other exchanges via its own router.
Risk: The executor contract is not verified; the router’s owner — a single key — can pause it and change the executor. The fee is built into the quote (about 0.12 % on average, per its docs). Router audited by SolidProof (2023).
-
Gibs Finance
gibs.finance
Third partyPulseChainEthereum
Ethereum ↔ PulseChain transfers through the official bridge contracts plus its own helper routers, which can pay an optional delivery fee to whoever completes the claim. Its BNB Chain route uses the Tokens Express bridge.
Risk: The helper routers are owned by a single key, which can rescue stuck tokens and set a validator filter. The interface source is private (releases are signed and served from IPFS). The BNB Chain route carries the Tokens Express risks below. HEX(eth) bridged to PulseChain arrives as “HEX from Ethereum”, a different token.
-
Tokens Express
tokensex.link
Third partyPulseChainEthereum
Ethereum route: the official bridge contracts. BNB Chain route: a separate bridge.
Risk: BNB Chain route: a separate bridge whose PulseChain contracts and fee manager are owned — and can be upgraded — by one key, with a 2.97 % fee in each direction (read on-chain 2026-10-19). Tokens bridged from BNB Chain are not the e-tokens, and HEX(eth) bridged to PulseChain arrives as “HEX from Ethereum”. Closed source, delivered in a deliberately unreadable form.
-
Coast app (0xCoast)
app.0xcoast.com
Third partyPulseChainEthereum
Account-based app: buying and selling, HEX staking, HDRN minting and its own CST stablecoin.
Risk: Needs an account; its terms describe renting software and private keys, and selling sends your tokens to an address the operator controls (custodial). Closed source.
-
Stake HEX Today
stakehex.today
Third partyEthereumread-only
Shows HEX stakes and HSIs — no transactions.
Risk: Ethereum only; parts of its data sources are gone.
-
HEXCAL
coinyon.github.io
Third partyPulseChainEthereumread-only
Calendar of your HEX stakes — it only reads your address.
Source: coinyon/hexcal.
Risk: No licence; read-only, low risk.
-
HEX Stake Ladder
hexladder.web.app
Third partyread-only
Calculator for splitting HEX into a ladder of stakes — no wallet transactions.
Risk: Last updated in January 2021.
Listing a token is not a recommendation to buy it. Read the trust criteria and the disclaimer.
